The Leadership Practices SurveySM (LPS) – A web-based 360-degree survey instrument that identifies both the strengths and developmental needs of an organization’s leadership in the context of its strategy. It is a measurement approach that has been time tested with many leadership/management teams. The LPS provides confidential data to the individual leaders and composite data for the organization.
The LPS report provides leaders with developmental feedback on critical behaviors from different observer groups (Supervisor, Peers and Direct Reports) and then compares that feedback with a self-assessment to determine strengths, weaknesses and potential “blind spots.” The LPS also compares the leader’s individual performance to the organizational average. The feedback collected is used to target leadership training and development needs.
DEVELOP AND IMPROVE YOUR ORGANIZATIONS LEADERSHIP MUSCLE
The LPS has four fundamental objectives:
- To create and develop a culture of dedicated leadership
- To provide 360-degree feedback to leaders/managers on critical behaviors
- To determine the degree to which leaders/managers are practicing the leadership characteristics needed to achieve strategic outcomes
- To provide all leaders/managers the opportunity to identify and improve leadership competencies through an individual development plan
The LPS provides feedback and summary data in the following reports:
- Individual Report – This report tabulates individual feedback and compares results to the organizational average for each question, each role and overall.
- Group Report – Presents a composite of leaders who are in the same group.
- Organizational Report – Presents a composite of all leaders within the group.
